About Katie


Katie Eyre is a long-time Hillsboro resident and CPA. As an accountant, Katie understands how decisions made in Salem can affect Oregon’s businesses and workers. She offers over 20 years of public- and private-sector accounting experience. Katie has taken leadership roles in the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce, including serving as a member and chair of its Board of Directors, and currently serves on the Hillsboro Planning Commission. In addition, she has been actively involved in education outreach about domestic violence.

Katie was born in New Jersey, the youngest of 5 children with parents who immigrated from England. She graduated from high school in Pennsylvania, then college in California before moving to Oregon in 1991.

She was elected to her first term in the State House of Representatives on November 2, 2010 and is proud to represent the constituents of House District 29, which encompasses Forest Grove, Cornelius, Hillsboro and other small areas of Washington County. Katie was one of nine new State Representatives to be sworn into Oregon’s 76th Legislative Session on January 10, 2011.

Katie attended Delaware Valley High School in Pennsylvania. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration-Accounting from California State University.
